Kalong Island – Sunset with Thousands of Flying Foxes
Kalong Island (often called Flying Fox Island) is one of the most unique sunset destinations near Labuan Bajo. The island is covered with mangrove forests and becomes truly magical at dusk when thousands of giant fruit bats (flying foxes) fly out together into the sunset sky.
This natural spectacle usually happens around sunset, making it a favorite stop for liveaboard tours in Komodo National Park.
